Review of Music, books, etc...

Ok so if you don't know yet i'm a little obsessed with the twilight series. I started reading twilight last year two days before kyler was born and read it in 3 days. I also go my mom sucked into the twilight hype as she came to help with kyler and ended up reading the book while she was staying with me. Which my mom hasn't READ a book since probably hi school because she has dislexia and its very hard for her. Anyway obviously i love this series. I can talk about it in depth and the symbolisms in it etc forever. However back to my point. The author has a wonderful site and she seems like a very fun person i love reading her posts on her site expecially her music reviews and likes. Probably more because i'm a music person and love so many different styles of music. I feel that she and i have very similar tastes in music. Anyway on her site she did a few of her favorite for the summer so i figured i'd do a few of mine.

Books:
Wurthering Heights- this book is rather depressing ina way but i love the ending. It shows how even though a person can truly be horrible how much love can control someone. My favorite character in the book is catherine II. I love her will and her um.. compassion? well you might have to read it to understand that.

Pride and Pred.- I love this book i've read it 3 times this summer. I read it while i'm reading other things just because i feel inspired by it. I love lizzy. I love how well a grasp Jane Austin has on the female psyhci. Plus i'm just a sucker for this kind of almost real life romance. I also watched sense and sensibility while in montana and have decided i need to read the entire jane Austin collection. I would say its a must for everyone well maybe every female.

Twilight series: As above i'm not going to go into detail. All i can say is i've only heard one person not like this series. I kinda takes you back to that high school ideal of romance and helps to rekindle the romance in yourself. I seriously can read these over and over i could probably read the entire series in a week if i could just sit down and read all day. I know if you haven't read them you probably won't by now but i urge you to. i was very skeptical i didn't want to read them and just decided i'd see what all the hype was about and i'm so glad i did.

Harry potter series- i know its been around for a few years but really the second time through was great. I read all the books in secession before i went to the movie and i loved them all so much better the second time through JK Rawling is a great writer.

The hourglass door- I picked this up to appease Kurtis in between reading books i'd already read. It was a bit confusing and not a great ending but entertaining. More for a teen reading but kinda fun as a filler. like the concept and could be a fun movie i think but wish it as a little better written.

Movies-

Harry Potter and the half blood prince- i went and saw this at the midnight showing and haven't seen it since but even though i was a little disappointed by the ending(not at all like the book) it was wonderful. It was hilarious and serious and just all around a great movie. I love the harry potter series and watch all the movies frequently at home so i think this is a great step in the potter path.

Forever Strong- LOVED IT. It was hilarious, and has a great message. Plus its based on a true story. and one from utah so its kinda cool for those of us that live here big Buddha from channel 13 has a pretty good part in it and chunga from 101.9 the end is in it as well. All in all a great family movie with great motivation.

17 again- Ok i thought this was really funny in parts. It was very predictable but still worth seeing.

The knowing- ok so i'm pretty sure they are trying to show the tree of life at the end of this movie. Its an interesting little spooky show worth watching once i probably wouldn't watch it again though. Just an interesting way to look at whats coming.

Music- Honestly i haven't listened to much new music this summer i've kinda went back to my high school favorites mixed in with newer favs. I will say i have a guilty pleasure with miley cyrus. i really like a few of her songs and have even learned the dance to her hoedown song.lol yeah you can all laugh now.

Muse- I've listened to a lot of muse this summer because kyler's favorite song is supermassive black hole and he tends to like there sound of music which if fine with me because i like them they just aren't my favorite. but if you haven't listened to them you should check them out they kinda have a queen ballad feel. there lead singer sounds a lot like Freddy mercury. They are nice for relaxing or just chilling in the house.

The ting tings- thats not my name i don't know why but i love this song in fact kurtis and i can sing the may chorus and kyler will dance. its kinda an annoying song but its just fun.

The All American Rejects original cd- Ok i was in Alaska when this came out and someone flew out to work in the middle of the summer and had this cd i fell in love with it then bought it when i got home and listened to it all that year. Now i still love this cd it has become a part of my everyday music list.

Jimmy Eat World original cd- again just like AAR above same story. This used to be my running song in high school and has become my running song now.

"Why Does it Always Rain on Me?" — Travis- I love this song as most of you know it was on my blog all last spring. Now that its starting to rain again here i think i might have to pull it back out.

Twilight soundtrack- I had kurtis get me this for Christmas last year because i saw a few of the songs on it that i liked and figured since twilight wasn't mainstream yet and stephanie meyer was in on so much of the movie details and i liked her musical choices the cd might be good to. And it didn't disappoint. It also looks like the Newmoon soundtrack wont' disappoint either except for Death cab for cutie it looks like its going to be great too. (i just really have never been impressed with death cab sorry) But anyway love love love iron and wine now its a good cd to have you can listen to the whole thing over and over again.

Iron and Wine- Heard about these/this guy from the twilight soundtrack (thank you kristen stewart she was the one that suggested this song) and fell in love with the sound. I didn't realize i actually had heard a few of the remakes of his songs. They are worth checking out. Kinda a cat stevens feel.

AFI Crash Love LP- Ok i don't have this one yet i just checked it out today but i really like it it's alot more mellow than anything else they have but hey it kinda fits my life now. I love afi a friend introduced them to me a few years ago since then i've seen them live and have them on my phone and both ipods. Absolute must for Snowboard season and great for getting up if your working out running whatever love it.

OK i could go on with music forever but i'll stop there i hope you don't laugh at me to hard and that maybe i've given you something else to check out. anyway. enjoy-

I think i'd like to have a Girl.

I was just looking at all my friends blogs. Specifically those that already have girls or that are awaiting the arrival of one. I've decided that i think iw ould like to have a girl for my next child. I know i don't get to pick and that i've pretty much only ever really wanted boys with maybe one girl in the mix but they just look so fun. Not that Kyler isn't fun. He is my baby. My nugglebean he is a momma's boy through and through. He is my little buddy we do everything together. But it might just be nic eto have another girl around the house. We went to the zoo on Tuesday with my cousins and their little girls. There is such a difference in girls and boys. Kim's little girl bella is just two days younger than kyler. but she will walk around and just stay with us you don't really have to tell her to or ask her to she just does it. If i even let kyler out of his stroller all i would have been doing would be chasing him and making sure he wasn't trying to get into any of the cages. but thats the difference between boys and girls. Plus little girl stuff is so cute. i have to admit it. cute little shoes oh so many cute little shoes. I started working at famous footwear again in august and i look for shoes for kyler they just don't really have any cute shoes for boys. there is really like 2 full bins of shoes for infant boys but girls they have 4 full to the brim bins. so many different shoes different colors and styles. plus cute clothes for girls are cheaper than boys. You can find really cute girl outfits for a few bucks where boys clothes anything nice is like 12 bucks at least for a little outfit. not fair. plus all the cute little head bands and hair things. Although with my luck if i do get a girl next she'll be balled till she's 4 and ornery, because kyler was exactly the opposite. anyway heres hoping for a girl when that time comes again. and mind you its not coming for a least another year so don't worry i don't have baby fever or anything. all i have to do is think about hving to be pregant for 9 months and that is birth control enough for me.

Frustrating!!!

This morning while watching the news i was repulsed by a story about a family who took their bath time photos to wal mart to get developed and ended up loosing their kids because the lady who developed the pictures labeled them as lude and sexually explicit photos. There weren't allowed to show the nude photos in the case but showed 4 photos taken on the same roll. The walmart employee said that out of the 144 pictures taken on the family vacation to San Diego that 7 of them were sexually explicit. The 4 that they showed on good morning America were pictures of the girls wrapped up in towels standing next to each other, and with their dad. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER again take any of my photos to wal mart or even buy anything to do with pictures or cameras there again.

This family was not only separated from each other as the children were taken by child protection services, but also suffered economic losses. The wife/mother is a school teacher and was released from her position because of this case. Not to mention the emotional stress on the entire family. What about the emotional toll on these girls. Did any of these people who were supposedly protecting these girls think about that? I'm absolutely appalled that this could happen here in America. what is our system coming to. I feel like the book 1984 is starting to be not to far off. is there anything that is sacred about the constitution any more. Does anyone out there have a high enough moral complex to see the innocence that should be seen that way. Or do we live in such fear of each other that things like this happen to innocent people. There are rules and laws for a reason but is there reason enough in the people who lay down these laws.

has this woman who has inflicted this pain upon these people ever had children. I would guess no. and i hope that she has apologized to this family for the pain she has inflicted on them all and probably mostly the children she thought she was protecting. It is time for America to take a stand and take back the freedoms and common sense that most of the country has. And put a stop to the crazy ridiculous people who are the minority that seem to have there voices heard because they have the right to complain. its time to complain back. Our country is going to hell in a hand bag. Look at how close our country became in 02 after 9/11 now look at how few even care about that day and what happened. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! Look around you and see if you like what is going on. Its time to fight for what you believe in and not just sit idly by. We are the sleeping giant and what we think and believe matters change your world by working for what you want changed. Be the change you wish to see in the world.

clean up and clean out

the last week i've been on this cleaning kick. I deep cleaned my kitchen on monday and i've been doing little crafty projects with things around my house to find new uses for things in my closets. I've been somewhat on this green kick too. I have such a hard time throughing things out and thinking there just going to a landfill to make everything dirty. so i've been trying to do my part to go green. here are some of my projects.

Some branches from my tree in the back yard that were dead and one of kylers old formula cans covered in paper make a nice door deco for my front patio. getting ready for fall.
This is my reversable anderson A for our front door. Kyler helped me put leaves on the 'A" for our fall look but right now its the purple from below

My cubbord cleaning. I have all my oils behind my flour and sugar etc i just like that it looks more organized

This is my favorite new addition. This is our breakfast in bed tray. Kurtis got it when i was preganant i think anyway he got it to make me breakfast in bed. we've only ever used it like twice and other than that its been sitting on top of our fridge so while cleaning i thought i would put it here and use it as a dry erase board. for dinner ideas or things i need to remember for the week.

next is my organizing attempt at my pantry. using baskets and bowls to try to organize things it looks much better than it did but now that i look at it in film it doesn't look that great yet.

This was my favortie thing i have these silver cans that i got when i was in college to put sugar and things in but i haven't used them forever so i decided to put my cookie cutters in them and my flavoring and food coloring added a little scrapbooking flare and whala. i think they are cute and add something to my space. I know its all dorky but i get some fullfilment out of it all so there ya go. now i'm working on making a multi powerstip container out of an old bread cubbord. we'll see how that goes.

Harry Potter Wands how to

I Saw how to make these on Good Things Utah last week and Since i'm going to the midnight viewing of The Half Blood Prince i thought why not go all out. So these are really simple and i have to admit kinda fun to make. i wish i had more little kids or crazy adults like me to give them to or sell them to becuase they are so fun to make and really simple.
Here's what you need:
-1/2 inch dowel to desired length. (I just bought a few 36'' long dowels for 99cents at walmart. I made my wand to resemble Hermione's so i made it 14'' long However i would just suggest cutting the dowel into equal 12'' wands)
- wood stain or paint- I used woodstain because we have a bunch in our garage i also think it makes a more real effect.
-sand paper- used to make sure you won't get any slivers and to round the top of the wand
-a Peeler (potatoe)- for aging the wand and rounding the tip
- hot glue gun
-Candle Cup 1/2" hole wood peices- (i just found them next to the dowels at roberts for 99cents)
- Krylon 18 kt gold leafing pen ( i got mine at roberts for 3.00 with a half off coupon its to most expensive part of this project, but one will last you for a long time. They cost about $6.00 without a coupon.)

1. cut your dowels or have somewhere like home depot or lowes do it for you.
2. use you peeler to round the top point of the wand and to age the dowel. I just rand it up and down the dowel and left the nics and things to that it made it look more real.
3. attache the wooden candle cup to the handle end of the wand.
4. stain or paint the wand and let dry.
5. use the hot glue gun to make handle designes and whatever else you would like on the wand.
6. use the gold leafing pen and go over the hot glue.
Bam your ready to cast your spells just like harry potter.
I also used some branches from our former pine tree to make some fun wands as well. they turned out good too so you can just use whatever you have around you as well it all works good.

Summer thoughts

1. Becky i totally wish you lived closer. Not only so we could be work out buddies but for so many other reasons.

2. I hate fish.(we have/had a bunch of fish for about 3 months and now all the sudden they all died within 3 days of eachother. and they were in 2 different tanks. I have one left of the original fish and i decided it was ok to go get some 13 cent gold fish to replace them with. but oh my goodness one of them died last night and i only got them that afternoon. oh well)

3. Michael Jackson was a person who everyone loved in some way. I think he was a music icon that few have ever attained or will attain the staus of. Does that mean he lead a perfect life. No because no one does but i think he had a lot more hard times than any of us will ever know and i know he's had a lot more hard times that i have that we do know of. Therefore i shed some tears for the king of pop yesterday, and listened to music in his honor and to just dance. I have always said music speaks to the soul. His music just makes you want to dance. So i say remember the music remember the fun remember the happy times that it fills in our lives. for me i remember halloween parties, dancing as a kid to bad with alvin and the chipmunks, spending summers outside listening to the great beats of michael.

4. My bike seat makes me feel like i've given birth again. Lol. other than that i acutally quite like to bike. I'm having a hard time going back to running right now. I have resolved to ride my bike to the store the library and anywhere else i don't feel threatened by cars. Its really refreshing and actually fun. I like being outside with the wind in my face and getting somewhere and knowing i really got myself there and that i'm doing something better for the world.

5. Triathilon training really isnt' that bad... yet. I'm hoping that by next spring i will be able to do a triathilon. You notice i didn't say compete in i just want to be able to do one. And it actually a sprint one that i'm working on its a 9 mile bike ride, a 5k and i think its a 350 swim. i'm doing well on the biking and running but the swimming might be a bit hard. but i'm hoping that this winter i will be able to get in the pool and learn the correct way to swim.

6. My mother in law is amazing. I am so happy that i have a great relationship with her. She is actually my inspiration for the triathilon training. She has already done two this summer and is going to do her third next month. She is on several rec leagues for different sports and is going to play on our soccer team that starts tomorrow. (i'm scared i've never really played soccer before yikes!!!) She is always willing to do whatever any of her kids need. And she always helps them with anything they have to do. She plays with her kids and all of her kids love to be around her. Kurtis and i love to be over with his parents and family doing thing playing games playing crockett going to dinner whatever it doesn matter. They are our best friends. I told kurtis the other day how glad i was the i get along with his mom and family i can't imagine not liking my in laws and having a hard time spending time with them because they help me with so many thing and inspire me to do so much. I just hope that i can do the same with my kids.

7. I love parks. Kyler has grown to love being outside. And since i'm in training we often go either to the park or to the school and play on the playgrounds. i love that he loves to be outside and it makes me feel like a good mom knowing that i'm taking him out and he is enjoying being outside and playing.

8. I miss floating the river. Of all the things i miss in montana the closeness of accesible water for fun is way way up on my list. I guess i just thought growing up that everywhere had rivers and lakes around them. and its not like they don't have any in utah its just i miss being able to go ten minutes and putting in on the river and floating it swimming, fishing and enjoying it with out a ton of other people there. I miss the lake and even though there are so many people out there still feeling like you were the only ones at the particular spot you were at. I just miss the convenience of the quiet beauty of montana.

9. Fireworks make me homesick. Ok i don't get homesick very often at all. And now my home is in utah but fireworks make me miss home. For the longest time the 4th of july has been my favorite holiday because of the heat the water the beauty and the time with family. I loved4th of july for what it means for this country and the simple symbolism of the fireworks they aren't just pretty they were the price of freedom. and where we see them as pretty they were a thing of fear when the true fireworks happened. I miss being in the firework stand helping people makeing people happy for the goodies they get to celebrate with. I miss lighting the fireworks. i miss the hail that always seemed to come on the 3rd of july. i miss soda and pizza and card games. i miss boating i miss it all. The 4th of july used to be the epidomy of summer for me. it was everything that was fun and exciting happy and it just breathed summer for me. I dont' think i really ever spent the 4th with anyone other than family and maybe that is why i get homesick when the fireworks come out.

10. I love summer.

now that i've gone on and on i will finish with just that i love summer.

Its been so long stupid wifi

Ok so lets see. Not a ton has happened since we got home from Montana. Kyler of course had a bday and a haircut. He looks like a little boy now. He also started throwing tantrums which are driving me nuts. He actually dances with his body now instead of just his hands. Kurtis' bday is tomorrow. He keeps insisting that he doesn't have a birthday and that he doesn't want anything. Which drives me crazy. Just tell me something you want. So he is getting cereal and a massage for his bday. I have been running and just started biking in the last few days. We got a nice bike trailer/stroller so kyler can come along for $60. on ksl. Great buy i was so excited. We actually took a walk over to grandma's house to get kurtis' old bike and ride it home but the back tire needed to be patched so we ended up walking back home. I figure a 4 mile walk = running a mile and a half. Kurtis was in a mud volleyball tourny last friday and we went to a josh graisen? concert on saturday as part of it. it was a nice night out with some friends and without kyler. I just threw my back out again two days ago from pedaling the bike up a hill a little to hard. now i'm kinda laid up. Oh we got pictures taken of kyler for his first b-day and they are so cute but i won't have them on here just yet.
Our wifi has been horrible lately we haven't been able to do anything so we haven't been able to update this for awhile. HOpefully kurtis isnt' going to look at it this so he will see his bday presents. Anyway hope all is well with everyone. Love you all.

Montana Cleaning oh my!

ok So i know its been a while since i last was really even on here. so here is a rant for ya all. LOL.

So i'm in montana for Blakes Graduation. (yeah i know crazy he is that old, and he has a girlfriend, just to weird for me but it works) so anyway i've been here for almost two weeks. I came early for the purpose of cleaning my parents house. My goodness. here i am a 3 days till departure and am still not done close but not done and not done exactly like i would like but its getting close. So far i have conqured a mountain of dirty clothes, torn out carpet, painted a room. moved an office to a room previously used for well we'll call it STORAGE. thats being way nice. I've filled a dumpster twice, sent my brother to the dump twice with a back of a truck full of garbage bags, also had him make two deliveries to the folk shop, rearranged a kitchen made two shelves, turned a flour cupbord thing into a regular cupbord and no to mentioned cleaned so much and been so frustrated that i got a cold sore on my lip. All with a 11 month old at my heels the whole time. wanting the time he usually gets with his mom and even more since were not at home. MAN AM I TIRED!!!

On the good side: i went to lunch with Callie, Hayley and Laura(oh and kaden). It was so nice to see everybody. I got to see my Uncle Darrin and Aunt Kathy and their two kids, my grandparents and my uncle rory and his girlfriend and her kids. Got to go bowling with them for Garretts b-day. I also got some new clothes since my luggage got lost my mom got kyler and i some clothes to tide us over for a few days. Now that story.

Ok so i was really nervous for the first time ever for my flight to montana. I think it was just because i've never really flew when i had to be accountable for anyone but myself. So everything was going well. We Janet and Kimly took me to the airport and got me and well thats about where the trouble started. I got to the check in counter because i was checking a bag. I get there and find out my bag is to heavy and if i don't get rid of 5 lbs then they are going to charge me $90 to check it instead of $15. What a rip can i tell you. anyway so we get that situated and then get me checked into the flight. I asked if there was by chance a free seat so kyler could sit in his car seat on the way there. But there wasn't so we checked it and when up stairs to go through securty. I know sounds like nothing i wrong right. Well here's were i am proven wrong. They speed me through the line because i have a baby and i get up to the guy to check my ticket and he kinda laughs and asks if i have a ticket for me. I just give him a kinda confused look and then he shows me the ticket. The lady at the desk had checked me in as Zachary woods for a flight to billings. GREAT!!! so i go back down and find the lady that checked me in and she looks a little scared finds me my ticket and checkes me in as me then we go back up and everything goes pretty well actually considering i was flying with a baby. There happened to be TWO open seats right next to eachother on the plane i'm on so i acutally could have had the car seat but since it was already checked whatever. So kyler does good anyway listens to my ipod with his headphones and kinda plays in his own seat. Then we actaully get into missoula about 45 min early. We go to wait for our luggage and wahoo it doesn't come so i go to file a missing thing and they don't located they put it in the system and tell me to call if i want to check and see if they have found it. But they would call me if they did. So i tell them what i know and that it's probably at billings and show them the ticket they gave me originally and it also has the luggage scans on them. (so glad it didn't throw it away) anyway so the lady was really nice that helped me she told me that there was no reason for the slc lady to check me in as him especially since he originally got on his flight in san diego. she also put a special notice out for billings, slc and san diego to see if it went to any of them. 2 days go by and by them i'm getting annoyed so i keep calling on the third day i finallly get sick of waiting and call billings myself. Guess what they have it its been sitting there 3 days. So i ask if they can send it to missoula and there we have it delta people are stupid and lazy. I found my own luggage and had it sent myself to the airport and they charge me for my luggage WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!!

Anyway i'm doing good can't wait to get home to my house and relax. LOL

The Joys of Owning a home.

Well (i think it was) Tuesday Kyler and i were outside working on the back yard. Everything was going great, kyler was climbing in the rocks of our landscaping a i was using a hedge trimmer as a weed wacker. then we decided to hook up the hose and clean off back patio. well our outside water is off b ecause we need to fix our sprinklers. (when we turn the water on at the main valve all the sprinklers turn on and won't stop) so we have one faucet out of the house in the back, so we hooked the hose up and started cleaning. Then all the sudden i looked into the window and there was water runnig dow it. OH CRAP!!!! it was shutting off when we shut the tap off so we knew it wasn't back farther in the line. But water was running down my wall and even out of our ac vent in the celing. Everything turned out ok it was a burst pipe. The whole thing to fix the pipe cost us $25.00 and the help of a few family members. I do however have some holes in our walls that we'll need to fix soon but still won't cost to much we already have the paint that our previous owner left. so its justsome sheet rock and putty, along with enlisting some more family help.

Stupid Graduation.

Ok here is a venting blog. I had my parents get me a flight a few weeks ago so kyler and i can go home for blakes graduation, and can also make some money cleaning their house. so we booked from the 19th-31st of may. We were trying to make sure i got back intime for kyler's daddy to spend some time with him on his birthday. However now we find out that MISSION IS DOING STUPID GRADUATION ON SUNDAY THE 31st. Ok so my flight leaves at like 11:30 and we actually get into SLC at 1 when graduation starts.

now this wouldn't bother me so much but the only reason they are doing this is because its softball state on saturday. Ok now still not so bad i can understand this but........ there are only like 16 real students from mission graduating and like 9 foriegn exchange students. So really how many of them are on the stupid softball team.......BLAH. Not only that but if softball is still the way it was when we were in high school they don't even have to really play well to get to state basically every team gets to state because there aren't enough teams. BLAH... and yet another BLAH for good measure. why didn't they decide to do it on a weekday as this is also memorial day weekend. BLAH BLAH BLAH...... Where is picard to tell them this stuff to make them see reason. Of all the authority in the school at least he had somewhat of a logical mind. The worst part of this whole thing is is that it was scheduled for saturday before.

So now i'm trhing to switch flights or rather my dad is trying to see if he can switch my flight and hoping to ge able to stay at least to see my brother walk in and hopefully get to see the whole graduation. If not We'll i guess i'll have to have him get his gown on and take a picture with him anyway.

no re-update but a new one.

Well i'm not going to get the pics up from last month. And honestly probably not this month either but... here is a new update. We are doing good after a few draining weeks. The weather here hasn't been to great the last few weeks but we are starting to see the sun now. And it seems that everything is starting to fall into place. Lets see...

Frist off we are in the middle of refinancing our house we should be closing next month. We are droping a whole point off our original rate so we are excited about that.

Easter- It was kyler's first easter and i was so excited for it and then the sick bug struck. Kyler and kurtis were sick starting the friday before easter and lasted until the end of last week. Kurtis didn't end up able to get out of bed so kyler and i had easter by ourselves. Kyler seemed to be more excited about the plastic eggs we had all around the room than he was about his basket. He loved dying eggs. Actually i think it was that he loved the vinager water on the eggs. We would get done dying an egg and he would put it directly into his mouth lick it off and when it was all liked off he wanted another one.

Our new obbsession seems to be Settlers of catan the game. We played it with kurtis' aunt and uncle a few weeks ago since then we bought it and try to play it as much as we can. we are however very competative about it.

yard work. Kurtis' new job as a bountiful irrigation guy has seemed to give him a new wind in fixing the sprinklers in our yard. So saturday we spent most of the beautiful day out side. Starting with Kacie's soccer game at 8:30 then we came home and started to fix the yard took a trip to lowes and the gardening store. Kyler and i were working in the back yard moving around some rocks round our trees we are fixing the lanscaping that the previous owner did to make it a little more friendly for us to take care of. Kyler had a lot of funn out side. We also have been taking a lot of rock walks. We pick up rocks to add to our back yard. While we were doing that kurtis fixed our blowout valve and started to figure out our sprinkler system. However we are still working on that. The sistem doesn't seem to run on our timer so we have to figure out where we can start it from. the ones in the back yard are fine but the font don't seem to work.

On other news. I'm trying to get fit agian. I need to lose about 20 lbs. to get back to my prepregnancy weight so i'm trying to do it by walking. Kyler and i take a walk everyday. Today i think we're going to walk to costco and shopko to pick up the thinks on our list and then come home it should be a few miles no biggy. Am so glad i can say that now. becuase when i first started it was a lot to walk round our block i was so out of shape. But now we jog it most of the way. So we'll keep you all updated on how it goes.

Montana trip and my Birthday

well we're getting ready for a lot in march. Kurtis is starting a new job on the 9th. I turn a quarter of a century old on the 5th we're speding the first week of march in Montana. so i figrued now was a good time to do an update.

Kyler. you actually see more of kyler than the rest of us but i figure that is normal for parents. He is growing like a weed. I just bought him a new car seat we are hoping to install in the car before we go to montana. He has 6 teeth. two on the bottom and 4 on top. they seemed to all come at once. He is now saying daddy, started giving you 5 and is clapping. Just last night we got him to lift his hands into the air and yell kinda like ye was saying yay. He is attempting to walk. He takes about 2 steps and then sits down. He has a cold right now and isn't feeling to well. But he is doing good. I think he will have fun in montana.

Kurtis. Kurtis is actually getting ready for his job change. He is a little nervous as he has only worked for joel and one other person. His last day is tomorrow and i don't think its really hit him yet. But he seems to be doing well. He just got word that he might be playing on an indoor soccer team which he is excited about. Other than that we're having fun working on the house and playing our wii and his xbox.

Me. well i'm diving head first into being a stay at home mom on a budget. I'm enjoying having fun with kyler and finding new inexpensive ways for my family to have fun and save money. I've been writing on my new blog samasecretlifeofastayathomemom.blogspot.com. I've been seeing what i can make new from what i already have to beautify my house and i've been learing the art of couponing and my newest goal is to make a full and complete beautiful dinner for my family every night for $5.00 or less. So far i've made some goodies but i haven't got them all posted on there yet. I've been testing my baking skills as i don't have the patients to follow directions so baking doesn't ususally go so well for me. Other than that i've that i've started a exercise regiment and am trying to eat better. I want to loose about 5 lbs by my anniversary next month. And i beleive i can do it becuase its really not that much for me to generally loose. and after that i'll only have 25lbs to go to be back to my pre birthcontrol weight and the weight i was in highschool. I know its sounds like a lot to loose but before i get pregnant agian i want to get down to at least close to it. Now doing go crazy i'm not getting pregnant any time soon. At least that i can see right now. Maybe next year. I'm enjoying my little boy as much as i can right now. Plus to be honest i hate pregnancy so its a deffering factor. Other than that just enjoying being here and living. Getting excited for spring. You all know how i get spring fever. I just love the sun. And i'm excited for kyler to be able to play this summer.

we're working on the outside of our house i'm trying to figure out how to get myself a garden and what to do with my saded dirt on our front porch as it doesn't get enough sun to do much with. Also we just finished fixing our gate to the back yard. We had someone letting there dog poop in my back yard when we first moved in so kurtis made a gate one night and just needed to fix it a bit so we did that last weekend. and we started a project to get our bricks by the gate all even.

Well i can't think of anything else at the moment hope all is well with everyone.

We went to a place called Smith and Edwards up by brigham city. We saw this had for 4.99 and decided it could be part of kylers v-day present.
