Homemade Corn Dogs (Baked)

ok so i don't really like hot dogs but i do occationally like a corn dog. don't ask me what the difference is i don't really know apparently if a hot dog is disguised in a corn muffiny coat i love it. so anyway i hate paying full price for well anything and since i don't eat that many corn dogs i thought why not find out how to make my own. So here is what i came up with.

Ingredients

• 1 box corn muffin mix (jiffy mix)


• 1/2 cup flour


• 1 egg


• 1/3 cup milk


• 2Tbls butter


• 1 to 2 tsp chili powder


• 1/2 tsp onion powder


• 1/2 tsp cumin


• they say to add 1/2 tsp of some hot sauce but i didn't have any and they turned out fine.


• 1 package of hot dogs (i used bar S)
  

Directions

• Preheat oven to 425


• combine all ingredients with a mixer will be kinda a muffin batter consistancy


• pat dry hot dogs


• dip in batter and try to get completely covered with batter. no thicker than 1/2 inch


• place on nonstick cookie sheet i would spray it before to just in case


• put in oven for 12 to 15 min.

Kyler and his "Mario" Gloves

So its trying to snow here this week so the kids are stuck inside and wearing actual fall clothes. So kyler picked out his "mario" shirt to wear today and then was looking for his mario gloves. I figured he was looking for his cars gardening gloves becuase they are red but all the sudden he comes out in Kurtis' goalie gloves. So i had to get a few pics. go "Mario Goalie"

and here is brooklyn in her cute fall clothes i'm so excited to get her in these is been so hot here she has only worn pants maybe 3 times since the first few weeks she was born and only worn a jacket the day she came home.

Crazy Good Home Made Chicken Nuggets

Ok So i got these off of one of the blogs i follow usually her stuff is gourmet but this is wonderfull. Kyler loves chicken nuggets and now i can make them at home. They are Mc Donalds look copycat recipe and sooo yummy. They are probably way better for you than Mcd's because you know whats going into them. So make them they are really really easy and so good.

Note: Don't bake them it doesn't work. Also you could use bread crumbs if you like instead of flour.

Tip: They freeze well so you can make extra and freeze them. And i only use about half the salt in mine and they taste fine so do what ya like.

Makes about 30 nuggets using 1 1/2TBS Cookie scoop.

Chicken Nuggets:
4 half chix breats cut into cubes
1 egg beaten
1 1/2 tsp salt Kosher
1/2 tsp celery salt (i didn't have it so i didn't use it i used a little garlic salt though)
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp coarse black pepper

Egg Wash:
2 eggs


Seasoned Flour:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

1. Cut chix breats in 1 in. cubes, place in food processor with other chix ingredients and process till it makes a coarse paste.


2. Mix four mixture and set aside


3. beat eggs in a bowl and set aside


4. use your cookies scoop or your hands to scoop out mean and put in flour bowl roll around till meat is entirly covered. Than shape meat in to balls with hands.
   


5. when all are shaped press balls down with fingers till about 1/2 in. thick.


6. Dip in egg wash then back into flour then put on a plate dusted with flour so they won't stick.


7. heat oil (i use vegetable) in shallow pan i use my wok and bring to about 365-375 deg F


8. Place nuggets in hot oil and cook on one side for 2-3 min then flip and reapeat. (remember that the chicken continues to cook even after you have removed it from the oil.)


9. Remove chicken from oil and put on a paper towel lined plate.


10. cool and eat

So Yummy!!!

Here is a honey mustard sauce recipe too:

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup dijon mustard

2Tbs Mayonnaise

2-3 tsp lemon juice.

Mix and enjoy.

Goings on

Well this is from about a month ago but i love this pic of my loves.

As of Saturday morning Brooklyn can now roll over. I was listening to conference while kyler was watching snow white and i was making cake balls and there she went. She's been really close for a few weeks now. now we just have to watch out for her crawling. she is already scooting her self across the floor.

And here is Brooklyn in her halloween costum. I was just going to put her in the cougar costume we put kyler in his 1st hallween but when i saw this it was perfect. I always call her snow white because she has such light skin and dark hair with her pretty blue eyes. so its perfect now if i can just get kurtis to dress up as grumpy. Kyler is going to be Bob the Builder and i'm either going to be dopey or Wendy from bob the builder.

And this is a pick of all 5 babies born on my side this summer. I was the 1st then the twins Kolton and Kooper, then Gavin and Baby Kjar 5 babies in 4 months what a summer. and yes

Brooklyn is the only girl. It seems to go that way that if i have a boy everyone else has a girl if i have a girl everyone else has a boy. Luckily on kurtis's side there are girls so were good.

Other than this we've havne't been doing a lot. Kurtis is working and going to school. I've been making dressess. I had an request all the way from florida which i made a few weeks ago. It's not like a job but it does bring in a little extra money and makes me feel like i'm helping out. I quit working a famous Footwear again. With kurtis going to school 3 night a week and needing to do home work the other nights i didn't think it was a good idea for me to keep working. Brooklyn is growing like crazy. She loves to scream and thinks its funny. She also fake coughs like kyler does. I think its pretty funny. Kyler poor kid has been having trouble going poo. He's now on meralax and things seem to be going a lot better. We are having a little trouble with him getting to into something and waiting to long to get to the bathroom which is really really frustrating for me. But since potty training went so well i guess i'm getting it now. Ninja feels a little left out but he's getting spoiled he sleeps in our room pretty much every night and when the kids are alseep he gets me all to himself.

lack of motivation

Well lately i've been having trouble being motivated to clean. I've just been so tired lately. The kids i swear know when the other is actually sleeping through the night. when brooklyn sleeps all night kyler is up like 3 times and when kyler sleeps brooklyn's up. And brooklyn wakes up every morning around 5:30-6am and i get her back to sleep about 15 min after that then kyler wakes up at 7. not that that is bad it's really good actually. I just have been exhausted. Any ideas?

It would probably help if i would start running again. Especially since its so nice in the mornings right now. I was doing really good in july. I was going to zumba a few nights a week and jogging almost every morning + band work outs and ab circut in the morning and whenever i had time. but when i put my knee through some glass and then got a bruised rib i didn't do anything all august and then that has transpired into all sept. I just need to get motivated again i acutally really love to run once i do it but i just have a hard time getting into it again.

Plus we're running Ragnar as a family next summer. Which is a relay race from logan to park city i think. anyway you run 3 legs and the shortest is 3 miles long longest is 8. You run get in a van and sleep then run again. Its a 2 day race it will be fun i just need to get motivated to get in shape for it or i'm gonna die.

Right now i'm wishing i had the energy i had at the end of my pregnancy where i was deep cleaning my house every day and making things constantly. right now i have a hard time even getting motivated to make dinner, an i love to cook.

Anyway enough whining gonna turn on some music and get going.

Well I woke up and started watching the memorial service at ground zero. I thought about everything that happened that morning. I was getting ready to go to seminary. My parents alarm clock was the radio turning on and i was generally up when it went off at around 5:30 or 6 in the morning. I had missed the first tower getting hit but it was blaring on the news. I remember driving into town and having the radio going and listening. Its my Friend Callie's birthday today. Which i might not have remembered so well except for the events of that day our senior year. When the second tower was hit i was sitting in Math Class. Or teacher Mrs. Mikklesen had the tv on and the class pretty much sat in silence. i don't remember doing any work that day really except for one class American History ironically enough. Mr Biggs was also the only teacher that didn't let us watch anything either. I remember Crying in math watching everything happen. I remember the news casters reporting that one of the planes had a class of i believe high schoolers going on a trip from Seattle that were now gone. I remember trying to think of how those parents must feel. I can't imagine being on that plane those poor people realizing what was going to happen and not being able to do anything about it. I remember watching as people lept from the buildings that were on fire committing suicide instead of dying in the towers. and i remember the crews going in to try and help and then my heart sinking into my feet as the towers fell. I remember thinking about all the people that went in to help those on the lower floors to get out and being devastated thinking they were all dead as the towers fell. I remember my cousin trying to get a hold of a friend that was out there that frequently was at the worlds trade center.

I Remember hearing about the other plane hitting the pentagon and the releasing of fighter pilots around DC to make sure nothing else was coming. and i remember hearing about the brave few men that overtook the hijackers and crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.

To our parents generation it was where were you when kennedy was shot this is our moment of the unforgettable. It was our nations moment of unity no matter who you were, what your religion, political stance, weather you were old or young. We all came together to remember these people to feel this attack on our homes. The attack on America. Everyone Believed in a higher being at that moment and no one was afraid to say the lords name and believe over the air or the radio waves in press conferences in schools.

Where are we now. Why can't the nation work together that well all the time? why does it take a huge tragedy to take us all away from our pride. Why can't we remember, and do things for the greater good all the time instead of being so selfish. Why don't we realize that if we all lived for each other that we could all have everything we need.

Its been 10 years have we really forgotten that much? if we can all remember vividly what happened that day why can't we remember the camaraderie that we had at the time as a nation and why can't we live that way all the time?

I remember the streets covered in dust and debris. and i remember the bodies and parts of bodies around the trade center.

ok so since summer is over i thought i would recap of what we did this summer mind you nothing all that exciting.

May- had a baby, took kyler to Thomas the Train for his birthday.

June-hmmm had Karson Endowment and uhhh thats about it.

July- Blessed brooklyn, Kurtis turned 27 Hung out with the family for the 4th of July, I put my knee through a glass table but didn't have to get stitches. Started a think Called the Deseret Treasure Scavenger Hunt with some friends it is our turn to make the clues kinda fun maybe i'll post some of them on here and see if you can solve them.
24th of july parade and fireworks
Brooklyn finally started to sleep through the night.

August-Said goodbye to Karon as he headed out on his mission. Took brooklyn swimming well more like she had a float ride. Went to the aquarium and zoo as our staycation with kyler. Brooklyn stayed with grandma. Went Boating with the Bairs. I attempted to wake skate and found that i wasn't strong enough to do it yet. But hey i can still wake board. oh and kurtis started school. AND WE GOT INTERNET.

Sold a Dress

I'm so excited i sold my first dress last week for $25.00. It sold to Lady in Mesa AZ. anyway i just wanted to share my good news. Hopefully i'll continuing to sell some more and i can make it kinda a side job. here's a pic of the dress i sold.

Interent Finally

Ok so i know its been forever since i've really kept up on anything on the internet. I was so out of the loop i didn't know that one of my friends was going to have a baby. But alas no more or at least i have no excuse to be because ofter 2 kids and 4 years of marriage we finally have internet.

I'm not going to update since before brooklyn was born but i am going to say whats going on.

Kurtis is going back to school which is why we have the internet now. He has a few online classes and luckily for us his fafsa money helps us pay for this otherwise we still would be internetless. but he's going for is Bachlors in business.

I am taking care of a three year old who is going through the terrible two's now. and a 3 month old that thinks she needs all the attention right now all the time. And i started sewing again. I'm making dresses right now just for baby girls but need to make some a little bigger they will be coming soon and i'm going to put back up my purses that i haven't sold yet on etsy in hopes to get rid of them finally. Other than that not alot going on.

Kyler is 3 and driving me nuts. I think he has finally started to get the baby blues and has subsequently started acting up. I had my first day that i needed a break from him since he was born! But he is still a good kid. Loves to play with other kids, loves nursery at church and loves the park. We recently went to the aquarium which he love especially the penguins and the zoo where well he was afraid of the animals. lol

Brooklyn, Is well a princess. Born that way her hands start to shake and go up by her face when she's mad, she loves all the attention and has 3 degrees of crying to make sure you know how mad she is. But she is also a cheeser and makes me laugh on daily basis.

36 weeks and 2 days along

Ok so i'm going to the dr. everyweek now. I'm offically 1 cm dialated and 60% effaced as of wednesday. So really she can come any time now. The dr. said she won't be as big as kyler was and seems happy with all the progress. she said she'd like to see here wait to come out until at least next week but after 37 weeks all is good. I"m acutally hoping to deliver the week after mothers day i was aiming for the 14th but i'm almost hoping i go in a little earlier that week so my dr. can actually deliver me this time.

I lost a lb. this week probably due to the fact that i shampooed our entire house and both our cars last week i think i've gotten everything ready. Rooms ready all the clothes have been washed and put away all of the baby stuff has been cleaned i've gotten all the esential items taken care of and have enough diapers for a at least a week. plus i have bags packed and in the car from me the baby, kurtis, and kyler. And i have a list of numbers of who to contact first for kyler and then 2ndly for ninja. now its just the waiting game.

I've gained around 20 lbs with this one and hope i kinda stay there. i don't have hugmongous swollen feet or really anything this time my ring can still come off my finger and the only thing that really hurts are the leg cramps i get durning the night and the fact that i think she tries to push herself out every night by pusing on my ribs.

We're still debating on well now three names so cast your vote for Brookly, Kwinn (quinn), or Lea. Anyway other than that just getting ready for easter. Oh and kyler is pee trained he wears big boy pants and tells us when he needs to pee even sometimes during his nap and at night when he's in a diaper, but still no poop on the toilet yet. so hopefully soon he's been really good for about a month now.

32 weeks today 4 years today and hopefully 32 will win big today!

So I just realized that I'm 32 weeks exactly today and i'm wearing a Jimmer Fredette Jersey with #32 on it so maybe that will be good luck for him tonight in their sweet 16 game against florida. Yes BYU basketball has comsumed my life latley so much so that kurtis and i among other things will be spending our anniversary night watching the BYU Game. And if we could afford it we would probably be there right now.

4 Years and counting. This anniversary is probably the closest to our first one as i am pregnant. Its weird to think that we've been married for 4 years lets take a look back on what has happend the last 4 years.

yr 1- got pregnant i think thats about it.
yr2- had a baby quit my job, lived with his parents, bought a house, Kurtis switched jobs, went on a trip to the dakota's, colorado trip
yr 3- got a dog i think it was before our last anniversary, or and went to disney land.
yr 4-got pregnant, bought and sold a vehicle, bought a scooter.

I think we're doing good those are the big things i guess we're really quite boring but thats not a bad thing.

I love you kurtis you are my everything and i love you most eternally i WIN.

So yes today is a good day even though its supposed to snow and i'm sitting a car place waiting for my saftey and emissions test to get done. Happy 4th to us, happy 32 weeks to me, and GO COUGS!

A new post finally

ok where to start. lets see

Pregnancy- Its a girl. we're thinking about naming her brooklyn grace or kwinn(said Quinn) grace. If she's going to come out like she is in my belly i think she's gonna be a fiesty one. She lakes to kick anything that i touch with my belly and has recently just started rolling. As of now i'm 29 weeks. 11 weeks to go. yesterday was well honestly my day from hell. I had symptoms of preterm labor in the morning and my dr's office took about 2 hrs to get back to me with wether i should come in or not. Also becuase i was feeling like this i decided it was probably a good idea to get someone to work for me at famous so i started looking for someone at 11:30 am for my shift at 4pm NO ONE in our district could work. anyway so inbetween getting the call back from my dr. telling me i should just take it easy for a few days and monitor the symptoms (little fluid leakage, and tightning of my stomach and dizzyness) and calling people to find someone to work for me kyler comes to me with a red permanent marker and open with writing all over his hands.... so i go look in my newly designed nursery and wouldn't you know my 2 year old has drawn on the crib, bassinet, rocker recliner, the carpet, the baby swing, kurtis' old bed drawer, and a few of his toys oh and on the dress i made back in septmeber for the baby in hopes it was a girl. I know the best thing to happen to someone who is not supposed to be getting stressed out. So after very calmly puttin him in time out and talking about how we don't play with markers i texted becky who i'd been talking to all morning for confidence in myself. And she let me know that permanent marker comes off with rubbing alchohol. THANK YOU. so i got almost all of the marker off the bassinet cover is still soaking in alchohol as the red is turning from red to orange to a yellow and then hopefully back to the cream color it was.

Oh and so i think i narrowed down the reason i may have had the sympotms in the first place to the BYU basketball game on wednesday night. They lost by 20 and i watched it at kurtis' aunt and uncles house (kurtis went to the game with his grandpa). Anyway i really only watched maybe 15 min of it cuz i was so frustrated and it was making me sick. I'm pretty sure my blood pressure got a little high during the game and i didn't feel great for the rest of the night and then everything else happened the next morning. So i hope they pull it together other wise i might not get to watch the Tournament. I know how rediculous but this is really the only thing it can think of that happened in that time frame.


Anyway other than that today i feel great. I ended up having to go to work last night anyway but the manager i closed with seriously wouldn't let me go past half way down the store and made me sit in a chair up at the front for most of the night. (thanks again Steph) When i got home kurtis had me close my eyes and took me ups stairs where he had drawn me a bubble bath with candles around it and had me relax for as long as i wanted in there before showing me his other suprise for me. He had cleaned our house and done the laundry and the dishes as well as made a cake for our ward activity today. Then he made me promise not to do anything today and just to relax. I LOVE YOU KURTIS thanks for loving me so much and taking care of me.

So today is going great. I'm waiting to get a free pair of glasses from Coastal contacts and relaxing writing this blog. My birthday is tomorrow and i have no idea what were going to do kurtis keeps asking me what i want and i honestly have no idea. the only thing i can even think of is a cook book on how to make baby food.

ok as for the rest of our life. well.... not much to report. Kurtis has been playing in a volleyball league on monday nights and is loving it. are ward church ball had there first offical win last weekend and kurtis was way excited. kyler is well kyler growing talking like a 16 yr old girl meaning allllll the time and 90/per. I've been decorating the nursary and making all sorts of things. I've made 2 diaper bags, redone my bumper pads, made a blanket to match, made 2 dresses, a flower headband, recovered our car seat and made a car seat cover for it, and am thinking about making a blanket or a hooter hider. plus going through my house and cleaning like crazy. I hasn't been so bad the last few weeks. but january and begginning of feb i was going crazy with nesting.

I probably won't get on this again till sometime around or after the baby is due so i promise to put pictures of her on after she's hear. hopefully soon we will be getting a new computer and then eventually getting the internet. Kurtis is hoping to go back to school this fall were just waiting to see if we get grant money to cover it from fafsa. anyway hope all is well with everyone and i can't wait for spring.

holy crow its been a long time since i've written

I guess this is what happens when you don't have Internet.

well i hope everyone is doing well. As for us we're doing good. Lets see since june hmmmm what has happened.

July kurtis turned 26 we went to the 24th rodeo in ogden and watched the fireworks at the terry's house on the hill.

august well hmmmm i don't really remember anything from august.

September there was a little more going on for labor day we went to "The Cabin" a cabin that kurtis' grandpa helped his dad build back in the 30's i think or 40's. its way nice the way they said it made is sound like a little cabin but i know people in montana that there houses are built like these cabins. there is a main cabin a bunk house and a kitchen cabin. it was really fun getting to hang out with the whole family and be away from the city.
After we got back kyler and i went up to montana for a week or so with Ashley, Ryan and Riley. We had a fun ride we took Ninja with us and Riley really liked that. I got to see jay play football we went to plains and tfalls and even hotsprings for games it was pretty fun. basically we just kinda hung out.

After we got back kurtis and i decided to see if we were pregnant we had been feeling like we were for a few weeks and yep we were/are. we decided not to tell anyone for a while but i ended up getting really really sick with this baby so we told people a little earlier than we were planing.

We came up with kinda a fun way to tell everyone we found a big brother shirt for kyler and took him to kacie's game in it and let them figure it out it took a few of them a while. to figure it out. we sent my family a picture of him at the same time. so anyway the big news of the year is......

WE'RE PREGNANT. we're due May 19th and we get to find out what the baby is this coming thursday the 30th. We're hoping for a girl and with the horrible differences between the two pregnancies if its not a girl the only thing these two pregnancies have in common is that both babies were in my womb. I started to feel good again right before thanksgiving. but before that i was nauseous 24/7 and didn't really eat anything for about 3 months. i've gained about 3 lbs so far total but it might be a bit more after we get home from montana mom and dad always feed me so much when were here.

Anyway had a good halloween. Kyler, ninja and i dressed up as Woody, bullseye and Jessie. it was pretty fun. I tried to get kurtis to dress up as stinky pete but he i guess was just stinky. lol.

thanksgiving was good. we had 2 of them as kurtis' parents were gone to a soccer tourney in vegas for Kacie on the actual day. but we had a great time at grandpa williams on the actual turkey day. and they all had fun mocking me when my cowboys lost.

i had a fun baking day with the Krantz girls out at kami's house in westvalley. we have a little tradition of baking all day and making a ton of stuff to kinda put it in perspective i made about 35 lbs of fudge to split and we had over 300 sugar cookies around the same spritz cookies and drop cookies. we also all came away with Carmel's, toffee, peanut brittle, chex mix, white chocolate popcorn, and a cheeseball. And i'm pretty sure i'm forgetting some things. Anyway it a way fun time to have with everyone.

christmas was kinda crazy. We did a christmas at our house the sunday before we left and at Kurtis' parents that night then we left wednesday night and stayed in Idaho falls and got to mission around 1:30PM on thursday. We had Great Grandma Krantz' 90th bday party on her birthday Christmas eve and all of my parents family except her sister Kristen and her kids were at my parents house for Christmas it was way fun to see everyone and kyler had a lot of fun. Then sunday after church we went with the Krantz's on a old fashioned hay ride out in pablo which was really fun Kyler and Riley had a ton of fun sledding down a hill. all in all a great holiday.

Oh and by the way of people we're related to there are many many babies being born all close to us. We found out Kurtis' cousin Misty is due 6 days before we are and my cousin's are both due within 2 months. Kami is having twins and is due june 16th but will probably deliver about 3 weeks early and ashley is due july 16th so lots and lots of babies. And we just found out on the other side Phillip and Guadalupe are pregnant too. so so many at least this baby will have lots of relatives the same age.

Hope you get a little of whats going on with us right now i know i've forgotten lots but hey at least there is a post now. lol

wow its been a long time.

Ok hmm its been so long what all do i say. Lets see....

Well kyler is doing great now his nose is fine except that the day before his birthday he fell and forgot to stick his hands out and rolled up on his nose like a seal. So he spend his 2nd b-day and memorial day since they fell on the same day with a big scuffed up nose. didn't seem to bother him though. what else. He is two repeats everything knows his letters and likes to sing and dance. he loves cars and nemo. He's spoiled rotten he go so much stuff for his birthday i think i should pack half of it up for christmas.

Other news... We're buying a Chevy blazer today and hopefully selling my car today as well. umm kurtis started looking for houses again much to my anxiety. the water rate for our city just jumped from $41 to $75. each month so if we moved out of the city we'd save around 17,000 over the life of our loan just on water.

Bags for bettys is getting into the local farmers market i'm rather nervous but excited at the same time it all seems to be falling together nicely and i have my first shot at it on the 24th of this month.

Kurtis's sister kimly got married on the 22 of last month and now lives in our ward/church boundaries so we get to see them every sunday at least and they like to help with kyler which is nice. Kurtis is yet again playing softball and seems to be thinking its ok. i keep waiting for him to say no to them because he ususally ends up in a bad mood after most games but thats because of the teams they play rather than his team.

I've started running again i ran 4 miles last week and then had to take a few days off because i'm pretty sure i strained my achillies. but hopefully its good now because i'm missing it.

I'm still almost to my goal weight i have 5 lbs to go and were starting our diet again today so we'll see if i can do it. my goal is to do it before i get pregnant again and i'm getting my IUD out on July 8th so go go pounds off quickly.

By the way we have no plans for trying quickly to get prego but i just don't want to know when i'm pregnant in hopes i won't gain as much this time. anyway i got to get going ive got a lot to do today and i need to find my phone so i'll talk at you all later.

Ok so hmmm. quick update. We still don't have internet. lol. we'll start with kurtis

Kurtis has lost somewhere around 35 lbs on our diet which offically ends saturday Yay. although we're not really offically going off of it for a while more. He is playing softball monday nights and occationally a volleyball game when a friend needs a sub on thurdsays. Work is in full swing for him and he comes home all nice and muddy everyday. He has declared war on a stump in our back yard. I personally think the stump is winning but he is convinced its not. he spend well all of saturday trying to get it out and it is still there. Though he tells me with a sharpened axe he thinks it will come out in about an hour... we shall see tonight. His knee is healing up but he has some nasty lumps in it left over from the fluid and such. Other than that he's great.

Kyler- well kyler is almost 2 enjoys playing with the dog pushing poor ninja to his limit. he loves everything cars now and nemo. He has just started saying "how bout" and then something other than you say. He loves being outside as do i but we only have intermitten days right now the rain has been crazy weird here lately. so were praying for sun. he pretty much can identify and say any letter in the alphabete but doesn't know his abc's just yet the song anyway. still not potty trained i gave up after ninja became potty trained again. he likes to help clean and pick weeds even though they may not be weeds. Last year kurtis weedeated my decorative grass and this year kyler pulled it up. so i guess its jsut not supposed to be there.

The big news on kyler is that for the last month he has had a runny snotty nose or rather nostril and we have been to the doctor and has bunch of different ideas about what it is. I took him in a little over a month ago thinking that the really stinky breath that it caused was probably strep. but no the doctor said its probably a cold and the mucas was causing the smell if it didn't go away in a week to call and they would give some meds because it was probably a sinus infection. After a week of the amoxicillen for a sinus infection and week 3 of the sickness we decided it might be allergies so the we called the doctor again and he said to go get claritin for kids and give him that once a day. After a few days of that we figured that wasn't the cause as it did absolulty nothing. so then end of that week we were talking with Janet kurtis' mom and she happend to remember that her sister stuck a bean up her nose as a kid and that it smelled really bad. We decided that was probably it so decided we would take him to the doctor on monday as it was saturday night. Sunday i looked up what you can do for something stuck up a kids nose and found that you can manually blow there nose for them so kurtis blew i held and covered his ears and janet was the offical tissue holder. when we blew his nose i about puked the mucus smelled about like a rotting fish or deer or something like that. I'm just glad kurtis blew because if i had done it i would have thrown up in kylers mouth or somthing i know it.

anyway monday came on week 4 of this sickenss and we took him to the doctor. to make a longer story short the doctor pulled out a piece of batting material out of his nose about as long as my pinky. Bleah but that immediatly stopped the really stinky breath that could knock you out from about 5 ft away and he is now almost done with his meds to clean up any leftover infection. just in time for aunt kimly's wedding on saturday. now Me- i've offically lost 11 lbs but am bloated this week so i hope next week i'll have lost 2lbs without doing anything lol. i can again fit into my prebaby clothes for the most part except for some shirts as my boobs are still quite a bit bigger then they ever used to be. i jsut got some stuff for my garden mostly herbs, garlic, thyme, tomatoes, and i bought a few fun things like tigerlilies and bamboo. We've been getting our yard all nice for summer. I dream about having a backyard bbq with friends but it still hasn't happened yet. i just need to plan it. Done shopping for kyler bday just have to wrap everything. My purse business i'm hoping will get even more off the ground next month when i join the local farmers market. I've got 4 more purses to finish and i'll have 24 for the market. I've already sold around 10. i've become pretty much a full time crafter lol. other than that not much is up. just enjoing my family and our new pet .

hey sorry its been so long

Ok no pictures just an update. our neighbor moved recently so we no longer have internet service so thats why i have been such a slacker. on to good news its getting warm in utah and we have been cleaning up our yard.

I did a little DIY project where i painted and recovered the seats on an old metal card table from i'd say about 1960. But it turned out great we love it now.

also kurtis had to go to the emergency room a few weeks ago from a failure to tie his shoes. it ended up that he didn't acutally do anything major to his knee but it was swelled up to about the size of a grapfruit. i have picture of both of these that i'll get up when i remember to bring my camera.

Other news we love our puppy he is doing great. I've sold about 6 purses so thats going good. I cut my hair recently. And combined Kurtis and i have lost over 30 lbs in 2 months. him losing most of that i've only lost 9 so far.

we are getting new neighbors what we are really excited about they have a 2 year old son as well and she is getting ready to have another one in june though she doesn't even look pregnant. They are a fun nice couple and we're so excited for them to acutally move in. He's a big BYU fan so we figure there will be lots of talking with him and kurtis.

ummmm kyler and i are going to montana the end of this week to a bridal/groom shower for my cousin josh who happens to be getting married the same day as my sister in law. but two states away.

other than that not to much has been going on we're excited about the weather and the summer and can't wait to get out into it. I'm excited to start running again and biking so other than that i think thats really it.

3 years and counting

well in about 2 hrs we will have been married for offically 3 years. I have to work to night so yesterday we went out to dinner and did our anniversary shopping. We got a safe to put our important things in. On our way home from kurtis' parents we were talking about things that have changed since we got married.

1.We had kyler
2. i quit really working
3. we bought a house
4. kurtis switched jobs,
5. we have three pets ( goofy our fish, mander our salamander, and Ninja our puppy)
6. we've gotten life insurance
7. we've bought new furniture
8. we've made a few other big purchases ( piano, and laptop) both presents for me by the way.
9. we've both gained a lot of weight
10. we're both on a diet to loose it.

I feel so blessed and accomplished at 26 and having all that we need and a lot of our wants. Besides our house we have no debt and have been really lucky to not have many major expenses for medical or other reasons yet knock on wood.

We have a wonderful little boy who besides getting into everything right now and starting the terrible 2's early is really a great kid and really easy.

We live in a wonderful quiet nehbiorhood where i can take kyler on walks to the park and we can play in the backyard and feel like its just us.

We have a beautiful home that besides our leak last spring we've really not had to do much with.

We have a great support system of family so close that if we need anything they are all there and willing to help. they have been so great for us and are really our closest friends.

were so thankful for kurtis' new job he's been there now for just over a year. He loves the work and i think really has ever come home mad once since he has worked there as opposed to pretty much everyday before. he enjoys learning new things and loves working outside and in the dirt. Ke also loves who he works with. We're so happy for this job.

I'm so thankful for kurtis for his willingness to works so i can stay home with kyler i've loved getting to watch him grow up and to be able to take care of our home. Kurtis may not know it but he does help out around the house more than he thinks. I love him so much and am so thankful that through it al we've ended up together on this crazy road. We've shared so much in the last few years. When we first got married everyone told us we would argue like an old married couple, i think that has been a blessing to us we've always been comfortable with each other so we are absolutly able to enjoy each other and enjoy time by ourselves while being together aswell.

Kurtis i love more than anything 14349 13.

church Ball champs

Well thiss last weekend we had church womens basketball region. My stake has been playing together for a about a month. We actually have a pretty good team. we have one girl that played for weber all 4 yrs and was really really good. She's on most of there all time records. we also have another girl that played over seas on a pro team. and we have a few other girls that are pretty good too. and they are tall. The first time i walked in was a little in awe i think 4 of them are over 6 ft. Holly from my ward used to play in high school and then we have another girl that played highschool ball in cali which is basically like playing college ball in MT. Anyway most of our team was gone for the reagion games. We only had 6 girls to play most games with one exception we had 7 one game. This group of girls had never really played together but we had so much fun.

We actually ended up winning region. I think i've figured out why i always had random brusis in highscool. i made it through most of the games unscathed but our second to last game with a pretty hot headed team i jammed my thumb really bad and then it got bent back. I iced it when i got home and the next morning it was still huge and was starting to turn colors. I couldn't really move it so i thought i might have broken it but as you know me i played anyway. I actually think it have me a nice light touch on the ball because i think i scored like 12 points including a buzzer beater at half.

Anyway i'm so glad i got to play with these girls i had so much fun and can't wait till next year. Oh and my thumb isn't to bad i just have a bruise all around my palm and into my wrist. lol seriously i've never had a jammed finger hurt this bad but i think i only broke a blood vessel or something and thats why its brusied so bad. I'd take a picture but it just kinda looks like a shadow so i don't know if you could see it.

oh and a big thank you to kurtis who stayed home with kyler and ninja while i was out playing 4 games. he was stuck at home with them for 3 nights. thanks hun love you.

Poor Puppy

Well since Ninja didn't come with his shots and wasn't neutered the poor puppy gets both of those this morning. The poor thing cried the whole way to the Vets office because he didn't get to eat and didn't really get to get out of his kennel except to go to the bathroom this morning. I normally would just put him on a leash but kyler is constantly spilling food and since the dog couldn't eat anything becasue he's going into surgery i didn't want to chance him finding something in the car. We dropped him off in Clearfield (about 20 min. North of our house) at a vet clinic as they had the best price by about $100's. We're going to go pick him up at 11:00 and he'll probably have a pretty mellow couple of days I'm gonna have to try to make sure that kyler leaves him alone. anyway here are a few pics since he's been at our house.

Ninja

Ok so we decided to go with Ninja. He is a great little dog. I wasn't sure he was gonna calm down at first. Let me tell ya this dog is fast. I honestly think he did a lap around our living room on each couch and up the stairs around kylers room twice in like 30 seconds. anyway he finally did calm down. the only bad thing he's done is he tried to hump kyler once or twice. but good news for us he is getting his shots and getting neutered on friday.

We're so happy for our new addition. The only problem we have is that he hates hates hates being left alone but hopefully he'll get a little better. I mean i only leave for groceries and small arrends so its not a long time but he barks when i leave. anyway more later i'll get a few morre pics up too. thanks for those that weighed in on the subject.
