december

Ok so Here goes a December Rundown.  We'll start with the latest 1st.  I sold a Coat Just like the one in this picture just last night on etsy.

On monday we had Kurtis's work Party. Everyone went to Texas Roadhouse for Dinner then back to the office for cheese cake and a gift card exchange.  It was pretty fun we both really enjoy the people he works with so its fun to get and spend some time with everyone when they aren't working. Plus we didn't have the kids so that was great.

We went to the BYU Basketball Game against Weber State with Kurtis's Grandpa and Grandma.  It was sooooo Much fun.  I always forget how much i really love basketball until i go to a game.  I started loosing my voice by half time.  Before the game we ate at Red Lobster.  Oh so yummy and i ate entirely WAY to much.  But i didn't want to take left overs and leave them in thier car during the game.  During dinner i got to hear the story of how they met and it was really fun. We always have fun with Grandma and Grandpa Williams.  Everyone says Kurtis is just like grandpa and i get told i'm like grandma in a lot of ways.  But i can't think of anyone better to be like so thats great.
Brooklyn is crawling now the Morning after the big Wind Storm we had she started crawling for real instead of all the army crawling she did since she was 5 months.
And We had our Ward Christmas Party on the 3rd.  It was really really well put together.  when you walked into the ward they had all these appetizers in the foyer then you went into the gym where they had 4 or 5 rows of tables all decorated on the back wall there were all sorts of desserts all cutely decorated and they served dinner out of the kitchen. there was a craft area for the little kids.  and for entertainment we played christmas Jepordy  it was great. Then the bishop read the kids a story and in came santa.  When the kids got to see santa kyler darted in after the 1st kid from way in the back to sit on santa's lap. That a Huge 180 from all the rest of the years he has been totally freaked out. It was a really nice break for the ward after so much had happend with the windstorm everyone was helping everyone out it was great. Infact kurtis left after he ate to go help one of the ladies he visit teaches to get her fence back up so she could let her dogs out while she's at work.  Definatly a memerable time.

Other than that we have the Cousin Sleepover that kurtis's aunt does every year this friday and saturday morn. then we have a Ugly sweater party with some people in the ward on saturday.  But after that we are free till saturday night when all of kurtis' dads side of the family gets together to do games and open presants and talents and such before grandpa reads the christmas story and we all go home for christmas.

I just wanted to take a min to thank my friends and family for there support.  through out my life i have been really lucky to have some great friends who i don't always see all the time and infact really don't see hardly at all but.. they are always there when i need them even if i'm just having a breakdown when kyler writes on everything in permanant ink.  They have been there to laugh with, to do stupid things with, and to cry with when i've needed and i want to thank them all for their love.

I also want to thank my family both sides.  I am a true beleiver that your family is who you make it. Otherwise i really wouldn't be related to hardly anyone.  But i have wonderful family everywhere.  So thank you for your support and love for me and my family.  We love you all and hope you have a Merry Christmas wherever you may be for the holidays.

Then a special thank you to my Missionary Brother in laws.  Thank you for setting such a great example for my kids for the power of your testimonies and for the love you share to those that are around you.
-Kevin when you left i swear i said your name at least once a day.  thanks for teaching kyler how to push up the cushions on the couch and jump on the couch. It was a great way to have me remember how much fun you had with him before you left. And how much we miss that when your out.  I am so Excited for you to get home it has really hit me in the last 2 months that you'll be home so soon and i've been getting so excited for it. For you to meet brooklyn, for kyler to get to play with you again, and especially to see kia when you get back.  You are such a strong great missionary and you are serving the lord in the way he would have you.  YOU ARE his tool to find those who need his help and are seeking the light of Christ.  Merry Christmas

-Karson:  1st i'm sorry i haven't written yet.  I kinda feel like since you've been out not a ton has happned.  But thats no excuse.  We love you and are so excited for you. I'm excited about your new area and feel like things are going better for you.  Kyler misses you, and is getting better at helping grandpa with the sheep and chickens.  he will acutally get a pen away from the sheep now. lol.  Know that what you are doing is exactly where you are supposed to be right now.  The people you meet are there for a reason wheather it be for you to help them or for them to strengthen you.  remeber that the refiners fire isn't always easy and but to "fear not and know that I am God".., for all flesh is in his hands and he knows what you need an when you need it.  We Love you. Oh and i started watching glee and LOVE it.  Merry Christmas Its not quite the same with out the Karson Elf at home but you get to let other people see the karson elf in ID.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

How the Wind Tried to Steal Christmas Spirit

Every Who in West Bountiful liked Christmas a lot…

But the Wind, From the north,  He Did NOT!

The Wind hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason.  It could be that the Season was going just right. Or It could be, Perhaps, it was the time of his might.  But I think that the most likely reason of all may have been that the wind comes any time at all.

But, whatever the reason, the time or the season, He stood there  Dec 1st hating the Whos, Staring down from Canada with a sour Windy front at the warm lighted windows below in there town. For he knew every Who down in West Bountiful beneath Was busy now, hanging a mistletoe wreath.

“And They’re hanging their stockings!” he snarled with a sneer. “This Month is for Christmas! It’s practically here!” Then he growled, with his Wind Fingers nervously drumming, “I MUST find a way to keep the Christmas Spirit from coming!” For, this Month, he knew….

… All the Who Girls and boys would spread Christmas cheer with fun and with poise. They’d rush around giving goodies! And Then! Oh, the noise! Oh, the noise! Noise! Noise! Noise! That one thing he hated! The NOISE! NOISE!NOISE! NOISE!

Then the Whos, young and old, would sit down to a feast. And they’d feast! And they’d feast! And they” FEAST! FEAST! FEAST! FEAST! They would start with green Jell-O, and potatoes with cache valley cheese which was something the Wind Couldn’t stand in the least.

And THEN they’d do something he liked least of all! Every who in West bountiful, the tall and the small, would stand close together, with Christmas bells ringing.  They’d stand hand in hand. And the Whos would start singing!

They’d sing! And they’d Sing! AND they’d SING! SING! SING! SING! And the more the wind thought of the Who-Christmas-Song the more the Wind thought, “I MUST stop this whole thing! Why for 2011 years I’ve put up with it now! I must Stop Christmas from coming! … but HOW?”

Then he got an idea! And awful idea! THE WIND GOT A WONDERFUL, AWFUL  IDEA! “I know just what to do!” The Wind Laughed in his Throat.  And he made a quick Map and grabbed his coat. And he chuckled and clucked, “What a great Windy Trick! With this map I will get them real quick!”

“All I need is some warm pressure and cold…” The Wind Looked around, But since in Canada warm pressure is scarce, there was none to be found.  Did that stop the Wind? NO! He simply called up his friend, Santa Ana in Californy and told him this story.

“see the Whos in West bountiful would love a Warm Christmas, what a time it would be they could enjoy lemonade by the side of the Tree, they could wear shorts and t-shirts instead of long johns and gloves.  It would be so much fun and would show them your love.”  So Santa Ana smiled and said “I’ll send them warm weather it will be my pleasure.”

THEN THE Wind jumped in his Sleigh and headed our way.

He said “Giddyap!” and the sleigh started down toward the homes where the who’s lay a snooze in there town.

All their windows were dark. Quiet filled the air. All the Whos were dreaming sweet dreams without care when he came to the first house in the square.  “This is stop number one,” the old Windy Claus hissed and he climbed to the roof, emptiness in his fist.

Then he slid round the chimney, a rather tight pinch, but if Santa could do it, then so could the Wind.  He got stuck only once, for a moment or two. Then the stuck his head out through the fireplace he blew.  “These Christmas lights” he grinned, “are the first things to go!”

Then he slithered and slunk, with a smile most unpleasant, around the whole house, and he took every present! Chairs! Balls! Bikes!  Even Some Cars!  Wreaking havoc on swing sets bending wires and bars!

Then he slunk to the roof. And he looked at the home and started gliding.  He took the Whos shingles, He took the Whos Siding. He tore up the house as quick as a flash. Why, That Wind then he started to Dash!

Then he dashed round and round with happiness and glee.  “And NOW!” grinned the Wind, “I’ll get the Tree!”

And the Wind grabbed the tree, and he started to shove. When he heard a small sound like a coo of a dove.  He turned round fast, and he saw a small Who! Little Kyler Anderson, Who was Just over Two.

The Wind had been caught by this little who son who’d woke out of bed from a sound like a gun. He stared at the Wind and Said, “Why are you blowing the tree’s down? Why?”

But, You know, that old Wind was so smart and so slick He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick! “why, my sweet little tot, Do you want a white Christmas or not?”  The Wind Said ”You see the snow is at my house my dear. So I’m just trying to blow it down here.”

And his fib fooled the child. Then he blew on his head and then sent him to bed.  And when Kyler was in bed all snuggled up, HE went back outside and pulled the tree up!

Then the last thing he took were the logs for the fire. Then he went round the chimney, oh that old liar.  On their house he left nothing but nails and some wire.

It was a quarter past noon… All the Whos,  out bed , all staring unpleasant, when he packed up his sled, packed it up with their presents! The Tree’s, and windows, their cars, and their Power!

Three Thousand feet round! Up the side of hills, he made all the towns look like landfills. He was Windishly humming.  “they’re finding out now no Christmas cheer is coming! And I know just what they’ll do! Their mouths will hang open a minute or two.. Then all the Whos in West bountiful will all cry BOO-HOO!”

“that’s a noise,” grinned the Wind, “That I simply must hear!” So he paused. And the Wind put a hand to his ear. And he did hear a sound rising over the foe. It started in low. Then it started to Grow…

But the sound wasn’t sad! Why, this sound sounded merry! It couldn’t be so! But it WAS Merry! VERY!

He stared down at West Bountiful! The Wind popped his eyes! Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!

Every Who in West Bountiful, the tall and the small, was helping out! Without any hesitation at all! He HADN’T Stopped the Christmas spirit from coming! IT CAME! Somehow or another, it came just the same!

And the Wind, with his Wind-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling:
“how could it be so? It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes or bags!” and he puzzled for hours, till his puzzler was sore.  Then the Wind thought of something he hadn’t before! “maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. “Maybe Christmas…perhaps...means a little bit more!”

And what happened then...? Well…in West Bountiful they say that the Winds died down three sizes that day! And the minute he didn’t feel them with so much fright, he whizzed with his load through the day and the night.  He brought in the snow and some fun for the feast and he...

HE Himself... was no longer a beast!

a Hurrican in Utah

Welli dn't know if its been on any of your news stations i'm sure it will be soon. the state is trying to get it classified as a disaster area. To bring in the chirstmas season we had a hurrican with out water. The fastest the wind got was 102 mph in centerville where i shop only 2-3 miles away from my house. My town got the 2nd highest of it with gusts up to 92 mph. We were out of power for over 12 hrs and there are so many more people still without power i mean our whole area no power nothing open no gas stations open no stores nothing. When i went to smiths grocery store when i found out it was open they were giving away dried iced for peoples fridge and freezers.
I was awake pretty much the whole night the wind started at about 2:15 am and didn't die down at our house till about 9:30 am our. I was watching the news when the power went out at about 6:20 am and it came back on at our house at around 10pm. And we were sooo sooo sooo lucky. The only thing that happened at our house is that our back fence went over its gone. but people around us lost siding off there houses, shingles off there roofs trees toppeling over on garages and fences. Our neighbor alex's trampoline was on her side of the fence one time and then in the neighbors fence the next second i was watching when it happened. one of our neighbors's roof from there shed was completelly blown off. all in all everyone i know if ok nothing horrible happened to any of them. But we heard of peoples houses that are just demolished. Windows blown out of cars and houses, semi's blown over, full 3 story building being built that are now just a foundation, roofing from schools embedded in cars i mean just crazy. I'll get some pics up later but for now were just glad to get a good night of sleep and that we have power and heat back on. And were so thankful that all that happened to us was the fence we feel to lucky that nothing and i mean nothing else happened.
