Well we've been thinking for about a year now on this decision and i guess we've finally decided. We are going to be getting a DOG.
A few nights ago kyler woke up in the middle of the night and kurtis went and got him and took him downstairs. when he came back to bed he told me they had been looking at puppies. I said "oh really what brought that up" and then it all came out. Kurtis told me that he "kinda promised kyler he would get him a puppy if he would be a good boy". I guess earlier that day when i went to go get our babysitter they were outside playing with our neighbours dog and kurtis had to drag kyler inside and when he did he was in hysterics. kurtis couldn't calm him down and kyler just kept crying and saying puppy puppy. so Kurtis told him when he finally got him to stop crying that if he was a good boy he would get him a puppy.
We've gone through this a few times before looking for puppies i mean. this time we're really down to two. We have one "on hold" till tomorrow that is a chiuauah?, beagle, poodle mix and there is one we saw at the animal shelter we liked two who is a chiuauah, terrier mix.
We're going to see Ninja tomorrow he's the 1st one. he isn't neutered and doesn't have any shots but we would be paying $40 for him and he doesn't really shed. I think he's a little cuter that the other one and he is house trained already and comes with his bed, a collar, leash and some toys. he's really good with kids she says and does well in the car. He is 5months
The other one is named BUD. He isn't what i would call cute at first i guess but after you meet him he is a sweetheart. He played wonderfully with kyler. he gets neutered on wednesday and gets his final shots along with a microchip. He nuggles down into you when you hold him and he doens't really seem to shed much either. but we do have to house train him and we would have to get a kennel and food and toys ect... He is 1yr to 1.5 yr
I've said we'll go get ninja tomorrow from this lady but we want to play with him a bit before we acutally decide fully, but i'm now kinda feeling bad about poor little bud. I just need some opinions. Let me know what you think.

I say go with ninja. Housebreaking a dog is a pain in the butt, and that's putting it lightly. You can get his shots, neutered, and microchiped at a humain society for around $80 (they really promote the neutering, so they throw the rest in there cheap). PLus he's cuter, and who wants a "sort of cute" dog? ;)

I agree. Ninja is cuter, and it's fun to have a puppy puppy (5 months vs 1.5 years). And that's so great if he's house-trained already. But go with your gut. When you meet Ninja, you'll have to see if it feels right.
Not so cute dogs can grow on you if they have fun personalities. :)
